Revenue Audit Supervisor
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree business administration, accounting or finance and 2 years of professional experience in the casino accounting/audit field; OR, Associates degree in accounting or finance and 4 years of professional experience in the casino accounting/audit field; OR, Six years of professional level experience in casino accounting/audit and operations. 1-3 years of Supervisory experience in casino accounting/audit. Supervisory experience may be included with the years of experience as defined above.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the audit team responsible for the daily audits and postings to the general ledger. This person assists the Revenue Audit Manager with hiring, training, and evaluations of employees. This person will be responsible for managing the department in the absence of the Revenue Audit Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Must have extensive knowledge of and ability to perform all aspects and functions of the Revenue Auditor.
- Review the daily work of the department and ensure the timely and accurate completion of the assigned paperwork.
- Assist and review monthly slot and table games analytical reports as defined in the Tribal Internal Controls (TICS) and investigate any variances.
- Review of the TICS for compliance with all requirements for the Revenue Audit department.
- Maintain internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires; recommending new policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain the Revenue Audit department procedures for compliance with the TICS
- Reviews processes for compliance with GAAP and TICS where required.
- Perform risk assessments on audit processes.
- Provides technical and systems training to auditors
- Prepare any additional slot machine reports as required
- Annual tax filings of W2gs, 1042s and 1099s.
- Communicates internal audit findings by preparing a final report and discussing findings with auditors
- Complies with all Tribal, State, and Federal Gaming Agencies and their rules and regulations
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner
- Maintains knowledge of all regulatory compliance policies, procedures, and regulations
- Maintain strict security and confidence of all records and reports of the Revenue Audit Department.
- Other duties as assigned by Revenue Audit Manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct supervision of the Revenue Audit Employees.
Hiring and terminations of Revenue Audit Employees.
Prepare and administer annual reviews of Revenue Audit Department employees.

DRIVING RESPONSIBILITIES
Must have a valid, driver's license and be insurable by the Tribe's insurance carrier.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May be required to lift up to 25lbs. May also be required to reach, bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, lift and carry on occasion. Must be able to sit for extended periods.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS
Must be able to handle stressful situations while remaining focused and professional. Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines. Able to collaborate with a diverse team.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work performed is in both a smoking and non-smoking environment and in multiple locations. Position will require occasional evenings, weekends and holidays. May be required to work over 40 hours per week. Some local and out of town travel may be required for further training and/or for the needs of the position.
COMMENTS
Tribal Preference and/or Native American Preference will apply. Must be able to pass a background investigation, drug, and alcohol testing as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and to take on additional responsibilities when asked. Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
