Revenue Audit Manager

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree business administration, accounting or finance and 4 years of professional experience in the casino accounting/audit field OR

Associates degree in accounting or finance and 6 years of professional experience in the casino accounting/audit field OR

Eight years of professional level experience in casino accounting/audit and operations.

1-3 years of Supervisory experience in casino accounting/audit. Supervisory experience may be included with the years of experience as defined above.


SUMMARY

The Revenue Audit Manager reviews audits, daily property revenue figures, reconciliations, and monitors the daily system reports to ensure compliance with Tribal Internal Controls (TICS )and any other duties assigned by Controller.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Reviews Audits and reconciliations of daily casino generated system documents and reports any deviations from established company and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Review daily gaming reports for all table games and slot machines for accuracy and irregularities.
  • Review monthly slot and table games analytical reports as defined in the Tribal Internal Controls (TICS) and investigate any variances. Report any variances outside of established guidelines to the Controller and the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Review cash over/short variance reports for compliance and monthly notification to the departments.
  • Review comp reports for accuracy, compliance, and monthly notification to departments.
  • Review exception report schedule for timely responses from managers as defined in the standard operating procedures.
  • Review of player tracking adjustment system report with the backup documentation from the source requestor to ensure accuracy.
  • Review and monitor promotions/events to ensure all documentation is received prior to the execution of the promotion/event.
  • Reviews audits and reconciliations of non-gaming daily system generated documents and reports any deviations from established company policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.
  • Maintain strict security and confidence of all records and reports of the Audit Department.
  • Reviews and approves time, attendance and payroll for revenue audit employees in the automated time keeping system.
  • Responsible for the budget of the revenue audit department, including development and adherence, and preparation of explanation of any variances of actual to budget.
  • Other duties as assigned by Controller

OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Attention to detail and accuracy is essential as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time, and work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of Minimum Internal Controls, gaming related system, and general casino operations. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Skill in planning and monitoring budget expenditures. Ability to work cooperatively with all departments. Ability to communicate and present ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and written. Must be computer literate, have working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and other computer software program(s). Demonstrate strong organizational skills. Proficient in use of 10 key adding machine and calculator are required.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct supervision of the Revenue Audit Employees.

Hiring and terminations of Revenue Audit Employees.

Prepare annual budgets for Revenue Audit Department

Prepare and administer annual evaluations of Revenue Audit Department employees.


EQUIPMENT TO BE USED

Computer, copier, fax machine, multi-line phone system, ten-key adding machine, and other general office equipment.


TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

May be required to lift up to 25lbs.occasionally. May also be required to reach, bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, lift and carry on occasion. Must be able to sit for extended periods.


TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS

Must be able to handle stressful situations while remaining focused and professional. Must be able to deal with difficult people without losing perspective. Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in a non-smoking office setting. Position may require occasional evenings, weekends and holidays. May be required to work over 40 hours per week. Some local and out of town travel may be required for further training and/or for the needs of the position.


COMMENTS

Tribal Preference and/or Native American Preference will apply. Must be able to pass a background investigation, drug, and alcohol testing as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and to take on additional responsibilities when asked. Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
