Audio Video Administrator

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Minimum age is 18. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
• Two (2) or more years of professional experience with audiovisual and/or videoconferencing support required.
• Experience with live streaming and live events coordination and planning of real time collaboration support.
• Experience with standards-based videoconferencing and web-based conferencing solutions (Extreme, Polycom, WebEx, Zoom, Teams).

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for managing inventory, scheduling, and maintenance of all G.T.B. owned audio and video systems including digital signage, Polycom video conferencing, meeting recording devices, and networked promotional displays. Will additionally work in areas that require set up such as conference spaces and banquets. The (Audio/Video) A.V. Administrator may be tasked with assisting the IT help desk and/or contract vendors who need assistance interfacing leased equipment with G.T.B. infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintain accurate inventory of all A.V. equipment including check-in/check-out of devices loaned to departments and guests.
• Manage all AV control devices at Turtle Creek Casino, Leelanau Sands Casino & Lodge, and The Grand Traverse Resort.
• Facilitate GTB Communications Department use of Polycom systems in Benzie, Charlevoix, Peshawbestown, and Traverse City.
• Train frontline staff in the use of internal customer portals.
• Develop and document device hierarchies, dependencies, and connections; both logical and physical.
• Assist Marketing and Sales with training, setup, and deployment of signage, microphones, recording equipment, and rental devices.

• Work with networking protocols such as SIP, IGMP v2, RTSP, PTP, and Dante.
• Design and configure new AV technologies and solutions as needed.
• Troubleshoot audio/video equipment connection and software issues.
• Maintain all lower-level certifications and trainings required to update and operate control software including but not limited to, Q-SYS level 1 certificate, Dante level 1 certificate, Peavey NWare, Cobranet, Sure Wireless Workbench, SVSi Conductor, ZeeVee, and BiAmp Tesira.
• Installing, configuring, and managing hardware and software

Must have excellent customer service and communication skills both verbal and written. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Must be able to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner by prioritizing obligations and time. Must possess the ability to work with various personalities while maintaining impartiality. Must respond to supervisory guidance and assignments and accept constructive criticisms in order to learn new, updated information. The needs for quickness and ease of adjustment to the work environment and flexibility to change are essential in this position.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Must have a valid, Michigan driver's license and be insurable by the Tribe's insurance.

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED

Including but not limited to professional sound, video, lighting and signage equipment, spotlights, construction and rigging equipment.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

May be required to lift up to 75 lbs. and be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to safely use fiberglass ladders, scaffolds and lift equipment. May also be required to reach, bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, lift and carry frequently.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations while remaining focused and professional. Must be able to deal with difficult people without losing perspective. Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines. Will be working on high platform catwalks running spotlights, should not fear heights.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able and willing to work in a crowded, loud, smoking environment. Must be able to handle being under constant surveillance. May be required to work in small, enclosed spaces. Must practice all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA. Will be handling large or heavy items when unloading and loading equipment. Will be subject to exceptionally loud music. Must be able to work varied hours - late nights and weekends included. Must be available to travel between properties to complete work-related tasks.

COMMENTS

Native American and Tribal preference will apply. Candidates must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug and alcohol urinalysis as a condition of employment. Employee must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
